Jelly Belly Pins (usually Sterling, Lucite belly, circa 1940's)

Coro Craft Sterling and Enamel Fish Pin

This fish is just beautiful! It is the traditional jelly belly from the 40’s. It is made of sterling and the plaque on the back say sterling Corocraft with the winged Pegasus. It measures 2 ½” wide and 2 ½” tall. The enamel of greens and blue is in good shapewith only a slight wearing off on the face. All rhinestones are present and clear. It is in great condition!

Order Number: # pCCjbfish Price: $445.00

Gold Tone Jelly Belly Deer Pin

The little deer pin is so cute! It has the Lucite “Jelly Belly” with a gold plated metal. It has no signature, but someone has scratched Trifari on one leg! It measures 2 3/8” tall and 1 1/8” wide! It has red rhinestone eyes. The back has two tiny screws holding the Lucite piece. It is in good condition, with some tiny minor scratches on the Lucite.

Coro Sterling Jelly Belly Fish Fur Clips

These are Coro duette fur clips. They are marked sterling and have gold wash. Neither one has Coro actually marked on them, but they are in “Costume Jewelry 202” by J. Carroll on page 54. It says they are the 1944 Adolph Katz design patent issued November 14. The mouths have a blue faceted marquis cut rhinestone and a red cabochon eye. The Lucite cabochons “Belly’s” have imbedded rhinestones. They each measure 1 3/8” by 2”. I do have the Duette pin mechanism for these fur clips, but I haven't updated the pictures yet! This is a great set for any collection.

Order Number: # cfCorfish Price: $410.00

Coro Sterling Vermeil Jelly Belly Frog Pin

This Frog measures 1 1/8” by 2”. It is signed CORO Sterling. Now comes the weird part! He is shaped just like the Coro Duette Frog Fur clip Pin done in 1944. Only that pin has rhinestones, not marcasites, and they were fur clips not pins. You can see that Duette on page 169 of “American Costume Jewelry” by Brunialti. If you look closely, I think the fur clip was altered to a pin. Someone must have loved this frog dearly to have changed it. It’s in wonderful condition, even the Vermeil is not worn! The Lucite belly has a few bubbles in it. You’ll probably never see one like this again.

Norma Sterling Vermeil Duck with Umbrella Jelly Belly Pin

Here is a rare pin! It measures 1 ¾” by 1” and is marked NORMA Sterling. There is another mark, but it’s unreadable. He is gold washed , Vermeil, but some is worn off, or is very light. He has a green rhinestone eye and an oval Lucite stone for the belly. He can be seen in “A Tribute to America Costume Jewelry” by Brunialti, on page 143. This circa dates this pin to 1944-45, but there is nothing actually known about this designer or company. He’s in good condition and cute as a Duck!

Order Number: # pjbNordu Price: $355.00

Norma Sterling Vermeil Jelly Belly Rabbit Pin

Here is another Norma and her most Treasured one! It is the rabbit with the top hat. . He measures 2 3/8” tall by 1 ½” wide. He has a red rhinestone eye, a clear rhinestone in his cane, and is marked Norma Sterling. He is circa dated 1944-45, along with other Norma Pieces. There is nothing actually known about this designer or company. He has wear to his vermeil, so he looks just slightly gold, more silver, but is really in good shape.

Order Number: # pjbNorrh Price: $395.00

Tiny Norma Sterling Jelly Belly Duck Pin

This little fellow is so cute! He is marked Sterling, but I can’t find the Norma mark. Yet, I know it’s Norma, because I’ve had his daddy before! He has a gold wash over the sterling call vermeil. He stands only1” by 1” in size. But he’s in wonderful condition. The duck jelly belly is from the early 40’s.

Order Number: # pNSd Price: $100.00

Brass Gold Tone Jelly Belly Bug Pin

This pin has a Lucite clear belly that is reverse carved, so technically it’s a “Jelly Belly”. Generally a “Jelly Belly” is gold coated silver (Vermeil) pins done in the 40’s, but I’m going to put this pin in that category. It is long and has wings like a cicada bug. It measures 3 ½” long by 1 1/8”. One of the wings has the coating semi-worn off. You can see it in the pictures! It seems to be made by the same company that the bird is from. Sorry, I don’t know what company made them! But It sure is a another “fun” pin.

Sterling Coro Jelly Belly Swan Pin

This Sterling with gold wash (Vermile) Coro swan pin has a round cabochon "Belly"! It is made of Lucite and measures ¾" in diameter. The swan also has clear diamantes pave set in its tail feathers. The swan measures ½" wide by ¼" tall and has a safety catch. This small swan was designed by Coro's designer, Adolph Katz in 1945 according to "American Costume Jewelry" by Brunialti. It is listed on page 174. It is in great condition.

Order Number: # pSCObelly2 Price: $275.00

Coro Mallard Duck Jelly Belly Pin

This pin is marked Coro, but not Sterling. It is the same pattern as the 1944 design by Aldoph Katz, but I think it’s later; this could be a reproduction from the 90’s. It has the Lucite belly and the rhinestones and it’s done very well, but not being Sterling it’s not part of the original jelly belly’s. It measures 2” by 1 ¾”. It is in excellent condition.

Order Number: # pCOjbb Price: $185.00

Chick in a Egg Shell Lucite Jelly Belly Pin

This pin is a puzzle! It is older, but not sterling. It once had a gold finish, but most has worn off. Traces of it can be seen. The frame is screwed in to the Lucite body and the Lucite is crazed and scratched, a bit! The red rhinestone eye was embedded and a tiny crack is seen next to it! Not the workmanship of a 40’s Coro or Trifari, but a unique Jelly belly! Who knows when it was made exactly, but it was worn and loved! It measures 1 ¾” tall and 1 ¼” wide. He needs to be adopted!

Lucite Jelly Belly Metal Fish Pin

This is a very different pin. Most jelly belly’s (Lucite cabochon) were done in the early forties and the metal was sterling. This looks like brass or a gold washed metal. It measures 3 3/8” by 2 ¾” and I have no idea o the age. This fish has a black rhinestone eye. It is in good condition.

Order Number: # pjbfish Price: $90.00

Brass Gold Tone Jelly Belly Bird Pin

This pin has a Lucite clear belly that is reverse carved, so technically it’s a “Jelly Belly”. Generally a “Jelly Belly” is gold coated silver (Vermeil) pins done in the 40’s, but I’m going to put this pin in that category. It measures 2 ¼” tall and 1 ½”. It has a safety clasp and is in good conditions! The brass is gold coated and has some age to it, you can tell by the pictures. This is really a fun Pin!
