MIRIUM HASKELL (1924 to Now)

WWll Unsigned Mirium Haskell Red Beaded Pin

This pin is definitely an unsigned Haskell. It has the “heft” and is well put together, it took a lot of work to assemble this piece! It has tiny long red glass beads strung together to make loops like the petals for a flower. And the middle of the flower has oval almost translucent beads It measures 2 ½” by 2 ½”. The back has the early sturdy safety clasp and the backing is plastic with holes and wiring the attachment. (Very common for Haskell Jewelry in the early 40’s ) This makes for quite an exquisite piece of jewelry, most definitely a Haskell success!

Early Unsigned Haskell Pink Beads Dress Clip

This oval shaped dress clip has the plastic back with a dress clip finding. It is sewn together on the back like the all the pre WWll, Mirium Haskell Jewelry. The clip says Made is the USA. The pink glass beads have that opaque “satin” look and some have clear rhinestones on top, while some only have the silver pin tops. It measures 2” by 2 ½”. In my personal experience this is an early Haskell, it has all the attributes discussed in Cathy & Sheila ‘s book., but it’s not been confirmed by those experts yet!

Early Unsigned Haskell Amber Glass Dress Clip

This dress clip is most certainly an unsigned Mirium Haskell for the 1930’s. It measures 2 ¼” by 1 ½” at the widest part. It has all the attributes discussed in Cathy Gordon & Shelia Pamfiloff’s Book, “Mirium Haskell Jewelry”. It’s probably designed by Frank Hess. It is in good condition, as far as the front and the bead; the back has some pitting (corrosion) on the clip mechanism which I haven’t tried to clean off.

Possible Early Unsigned Haskell Dangle Pin

This pin has swirled glass pink beads, fairy heavy and pink plastic flower bells with silver tone metal pin tops inside. There is celluloid plastic chain with more pink glass beads with plastic flower findings attached to the ends. They dangle from this pin. It measures 3” dangle with a width of 2 ½”. It has the Haskell attributes of, construction seen in the WWll Pins & Clips, with the rectangular metal pin back and wiring. It has the older safety clasp and is similar to some in “Mirium Haskell Jewelry” by Gordon & Pamfiloff. It has the often seen celluloid chain. I can not be certain yet, as I haven’t shown it to Cathy Gordon or Shelia Pamfiloff, yet! ( But I will!)

Fur Clip Plastic Red Dangles Unsigned Early Haskell

This fur clip measures 3” tall by 2 1/4”. It has the gold tone filigree on top and brass chains with plastic elongated beads attached. It has been attributed to Mirium Haskell, as one of her early unsigned pieces. It seems that one of the top brass pieces has been fixed, but other than that it’s in good condition.

Early Unsigned White Flower M. Haskell Dangle Brooch

This pin has all the qualities of an early Miriam Haskell piece. You should get the book by Shelia Pamfiloff & Kathy Gordon “Miriam Haskell Jewelry”, it’s a treasure trove of information. This white glass and silk twisted rope measures 5” from top to bottom of the dangle 2 ½”wide. The white glass balls are complimented with the white glass leaves like beads. It is most likely a pre world war II pin. It is in great shape. I believe the back pastic part was intentionally cut by the makers for this brooch.
