Red Carved Bakelite Ring

This ring is a size 7 ½ and all Bakelite. It has a carved flower on the top and ¾” by 5/8” on the top. The shank is ¼”. There is a picture of a red carved ring very similar to this one in in Lillian Baker’s “Twentieth Century Fashionable Jewelry” on page 75. This would circa date it to the 30’s. It is just a real beauty!

Bakelite Carved Frog Bracelet & Dress Clips

What a wonderful Bakelite set! The carved frogs are very cool. The dress clips measure 1 5/8” by 1 3/8” The frogs are sitting on metal that is gold colored coated. The bracelet is made of braided rope type material with little metal clips and a Bakelite button as the closure. It measures 6 ¾” long and the frog is the same size as the clips. It can be seen in Lillian Baker’s “Twentieth Century Fashionable Jewelry” on page 87 in the red & green frogs. It is a very unusual and charming set, perfect for that collector with unique pieces!

Large Bakelite Base with a Celluloid Cameo Pin

This Celluloid Cameo piece is set in a large carved Bakelite frame. It measures 3” by 2 ½”. The pin back is heat set. This is a great pin and looks great when worn! There is a picture of this pin in “Bakelite Jewelry, Good Better Best” by Wassertrom & Pina, on page 70. It circa date’s to the 20’s or 30’s.

Green Marbled Carved Bakelite China Man

This pin measures 2 ¼” by 1 1/8”. It looks like a Chinese man with a long braided pony tail and a cap on. I think he’s sipping on a drink, but I’m not sure! The pin is heat set and it has a safety clasp with a bar rather than rabbit ears. He is hand carved and definitely vintage. He is a wonderful different piece.

Bakelite “Walking the Dog” Pin

What a cute pin or I should say 2 pins! This is a gentleman out walking his dog. Both pins are joined by a brass chain that indicates the leash. Both pins are made of Bakelite, painted and carved. Each character has a heat set pin and stem in the back with the older “bar over” the safety clasp. The man measures 3” tall by 1 ½” wide. The doggie measures 1 ½” wide by 1 ¾” tall. What a “Cool” pin for the collector and it definitely is Vintage! And it’s in superb shape!

Light Yellow Hand Painted Bakelite Bangle

This bracelet is bakelite, but was produced under the name “Marblette”. I know this because I had another bracelet just like this with the Marblette paper tag on it! There is a picture of the tag, but it doesn’t come with the bracelet. This bracelet is ½” wide and 2 ½” in diameter. (7 ½”) It is 2/8” in thickness. This is a wonderful piece.

Catalin Cream Head of a Horse Pin

This is a great vintage pin. It measures 3” from nose to neck, and 2 ¼” from top of ear to neck. It has a gold tone metal halter & bit. The metal pin is screwed into the back. The pin has a little green patina on the pin stem, I haven’t cleaned it! His eye is painted on glass and is not one of those goggle eyes. He can be seen with a rust-brown color on page 157 in “Twentieth Century Fashionable Plastic Jewelry” by Lillian Baker, copyright 1992. According to the book, this pin is circa 1937. It is a great addition to any collection. Catalin is similair to Bakelite.

Bakelite Cameo with Metal Frame This cameo is black bakelite with a gold tone fancy frame! I think it's brass, but I'm not sure! It measures 2 1/2" by 2" .The pin is in good condition, with the exception of a few tiny scratches on the bakelite face. It has a safety clasp!

Cherry Amber Color Carved Bakelite & Metal Bangle

This bangle is 2 ½" in diameter and 1 1/8" wide. The thickness of the wall of the bracelet is ¼". It is a semi-transparent cherry amber color and has two brass strips on the plastic. There are beautiful carved cut-outs on the side and curves on top! This is a really cool bracelet. There is one flaw. It has a chip out inside by one of the metal hinges. You can see it in the picture. It can't be seen from the front at all. I missed it at first; I didn't see it when I bought it! But other than that it's a great bracelet.

Thick Yellow-Orange Bakelite with Rhinestones Bangle

This great multi-colored rhinestone bangle is 1" wide with 1/8" wall thickness and a bit bigger that 7 ¾" in circumference (inside). It has the tell tale tone variation, from the inside to the outside, this being a strong indicator that it is older! Some of the rhinestones were missing , so I have replaced some with the same colors. The outside has some tiny nicks, but other than that it is in great condition! What a great bracelet for the Bakelite collector!

Carved Red Bakelite Dress Clip Leaf

This older dress clip is bakelite and the three leave design is carved. The clip on the back is a base metal with a brass look. It is shaped in a half circle and is heat set into the bakelite. The clip measures 2 6/8” wide by 2 ½” tall. It is in good condition.
